What's Bill Condon gonna do? Tackle Holliday when she tries to accept the award? I don't think he can take her....

I think that if she had behaved over this past year or so, it would have been a cool idea to have the cast of the movie do their nominated songs and then as a surprise, heve her step out at the end and do "And I Am Telling you". Or have both Jennifers do it. Just to link the show with the movie and give everyone a treat.

She is doing an interview on CBS This Morning, the morning of The Oscars and talking about her life, the movie, etc.

I'm shocked that Beyonce would let either Anika or JHud sing Listen on the Oscars, because frankly I think that either of them would probably sing it better than she can, and I think she's smart enough to know that. I could see her letting one of them sing part of the beginning, but not the whole song.

It probably was not her decision to make.

J Hol should be baking a big old cake and sending it to J Hud. J Hol has not had this much press since the original DREAMGIRLS! She should be sending her flowers monthly!

In response to the Effie being old line: in the novelization of the movie (yes, I bought it. I read it. Cover to cover. Let's move on), when Magic asks why Effie is so slow, Effie says it's because she's old when really it's because she has gotten even heavier since the Dreams and she can't exactly run up stairs like say, a 9 year old girl. This isn't something I pulled out of my ass, this is what's in the novelization (again, YES, I bought it).

I do not know, I don't follow up on her. It just didn't sound good on Enews.

I just cant seem to understand why she wants a cameo in the movie. If I were in her shoes, I'd rather be remembered for my performance on Broadway than a cameo role in a movie.

WHATEVER Jennifer Holliday!

The girls will each be singing what they sang in the movie per an official press release:

http://www.oscars.org/press/pressreleases/2007/07.02.21.html

And don't get hysterical but I think Melissa Etheridge is going to win. And I have this sick feeling that Miss Breslin is going to steal Miss Hudson's trophy. I hope I am wrong but it is the feeling I have.

On the Effie age thing. OK...so physically Hudson is old enough - I'm really talking in terms of maturity of acting. Maybe inexperienced is a better word than "young". I just did not believe her growth from naivety to adulthood. Physically maybe she is old enough, acting-wise she failed to convey the journey to me. This is just my opinion, but I think it's a valid thing to say.
