She did audition for the role in NYC. I don't know about Chicago. Wills is on tour right now, but for a short term. She announced she will be coming back to NYC to be the alternate Christine shortly. Jennifer just got married and wants to be in NY with her husband.

To my knowledge, Jen never was offered Glinda in Chicago. And, on another note, she is now, and had always been a redhead.
I have known her since she was 10 years old, so, yeah, she's a redhead. :)
