I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if they've called her in for it at some point. She seems to be officially in the "Broadway club" now.

Dunno, but I'd definitely revisit the show if JHW joined.

I love how any blonde soprano is considered a good fit for Glinda....
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Doesn't JHW have red hair? (not blonde)

She, at one point, was a blonde.

Well, her hair is kinda strawberry blonde.
Either way she's absolutely gorgeous.

When I saw her in Wonderful Town in 2004 she was definitely a redhead...

She had blonde hair for a regional production of OKLAHOMA! that I happened to see her in. But I believe her natural color is strawberry blonde.

Jennifer has been a redhead since she made her Broadway debut, I don't know about before then. She had a blond wig in Wonderful Town though and it looked very natural. Wills did audition for the role of Glinda.

Yeah. And the producers decided to give all of their money to Bill Gates.

Well I heard that everyone in the Broadway production died.

Jennifer is more strawberry blonde.
I am pretty sure she has never auditioned for the role.
I like her in Phantom though! She is amazing as Christine!

I agree. She'd make an excellent Glinda

She's a fantastic actress and I'm sure she'd be fine as Glinda.
I was wondering the same thing, somethingwicked.
She handled the comedic moments really well in Wonderful Town and kept up that talent to the less light stuff at the end. She's such a wonderful woman, I hope she gets work soon.

WickedGeek, I agree, she is amazing. But she has work. She is the alternate for Christine in the Broadway company of "Phantom," and goes on two times a week. She is on summer leave from the NY company to play the principle Christine on tour.

Yup, I will be seeing her as Christine on the national tour when I am in Vancouver this summer.
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

I was thinking about seeing her this summer, but seeing how she's on tour now, I'll have to wait a few months.

Yes, JLT had red hair, and yes, I would LOVE Jennifer Hope Wills as Glinda! I saw her in Phantom... AMAZING!
Just because I got the lead doesn't mean you can't be my understudy!:)

I saw her in Phantom when i went back to NY to audition for school. She was amazing. I think she could do almost anything and be great in it. She is also one of the nicest/sweetest person I have ever talked to.

The actress playing Glinda does not have to be a blonde. JLT as said before was a redhead and Stacie Morgain Lewis currently playing the role in Chicago is a burnett. Jenna Leigh Green before she was offered the role of Nessarose u/s Elphaba on tour auditioned for the role of Glinda when they were searching for Kristin Chenoweth's replacement.
