Jennifer Simard "Stigma"

I was there! She killed it.

She opened with Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" and we were off on the ride!

The show was about her journey. It was a bit dark, as expected, at times but she balanced it out with her brand of twisted humor.

She and her back-up singers were all dressed in black. She had some leather amd lace going on and her back-up girls looked exactly like the girls in Robert Palmer's "Simply Irresistible" video (which they gave a nod to during one of the songs). Her band was excellent. Sounded like more people were playing behind her then there were. And they were tight.

I did not recognize a lot of songs she did, which was nice. She did a lovely version of Patsy Cline's "Crazy" and played the harmonica part in Morrisette's "Hand in My Pocket". The room went nuts.

Kind of a Broadway "who's who" in the room. David Hyde Pierce, Bernadette, Betty Buckley, Taylor Trensch and others were in attendence.

So glad I went and would see her again in a heartbeat. She even did a meet and greet after the show at the patio bar that was open to all in attedance.

It was a great night. Lasted about 90 minutes. She was really nervous during her opening patter. She said she would be but her natural humor got her back on track.
