Well it looks like Jess' next project is going to be with Jerry Mitchell. I'm guessing it's going to be Becoming Nancy. In the Backstage listing, a few of the roles that require a strong alto belt was listed as being offered. Seems like Jerry is trying to get Jess her first Tony nom.

I have no clue, to be honest, but I wish people would stop saying Waitress. Jerry Mitchell has absolutely no connection to Waitress. People need to stop linking the two. Maybe she's collaborating with Jerry Mitchell first and then going into Waitress or something, but not right now. Also--Becoming Nancy? What's that? A segue from Playing Nancy from Groundhog Day?

Becoming Nancy is a stage adaptation of a YA novel about a high school boy who is cast as Nancy in a production of Oliver. Its premiering in Sept at the Alliance Theater in Georgia with eyes on a Broadway run after.

Haven’t seen it yet, but this song they released is better than most musical theatre songs that debuted on broadway last season. Cannot wait for this one.
