Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:36pmHey, I wanna try getting student rush tickets for JERSEY BOYS next week for the Wed. matinee, I just have a few questions. Where are the seats? And what is the turn out like? And how early should I go? Thanks

Posted: 3/28/06 at 8:40pmThey gave me a great orchestra seat on a saturday matinee. I got the ticket about 10 mins before the show started. Enjoy!

I think for the 2PM mat show they sell rush tickets from 11-12 noon. I got there around 10:30 and was first in line last month. They gave me front row orchestra towards the side. They said it was partial view, but it didn't bother me one bit. Loved the show! :)

Posted: 3/28/06 at 9:11pmI got rush tickets for a Saturday evening around two weeks ago. The seats were partial view (first row, right section). I had the seat closest to the aisle, and it was great! If you get that seat, you're also guaranteed some nice smiles and winks from the Daniel Reichard and J. Robert Spencer.

Posted: 3/28/06 at 9:56pmI went on NEw YEar's Eve and got seats in Row W of the orchestra, which was originally all they sold. Still a great seat.

Definitely get there an hour or two before they start selling. People can also save spots for their friends. It gets annoying.
The rush seats in the front orchestra are fantastic. You don't miss any action on stage, really - you just miss a few projections, which really don't mean anything. I really can't wait to go back and do rush.

Posted: 3/29/06 at 2:29amI went just last Saturday for the matinee, and I got there around 10:20am, and there were already about 20 students in line! Word had it that the people first in line were there since 7:45! So from my experience, I have learned get there early! (BTW: don't think this has been mentioned but there are only 12 student tickets available.) Though I guess you may have to take into account that some students may have been on their spring breaks. Through a stroke of luck, I actually got the last ticket, and I am so happy I did, seat B9. I have never been closer when seeing a Broadway musical. I recognized some other people from on the student line, and they all were seated around where I was (Orchestra, first or second row, partial view). Since I went really recently, I don't know if it would have changed that much. Good luck born2cthelightsofbroadway!

A simple search typing in the words "Jersey Boys Rush" brought up all of the above threads. We would not have numerous threads on the same topic if people would take the 10 seconds necessary to do a search, and you'd see that your question has been answered time and time again in the past.

My friend and I were the ones who were there at 7:45 lol. We got there so early b/c we're coming from upstate and the next train would've left us in the city too late.
There was also a kinda weird situation where these 2 guys were sleeping in their car across the street and they came out just before 10 and said they were first in line and stood outside looking in at us. I thought they were gonna beat us up for our Jersey Boys tickets!

I believe the moral of the story here is (well, besides... using the search function... wow, Wanna Be a Foster... I knew there were many, many, many threads on this... didn't know it was that many though... *eyes bug*): The rush line is unpredictable. There are still some very good days to grab tickets, but particularly on weekends you want to get there early if you have a prayer of getting tickets.
When I did the rush two weeks ago I was VERY glad I had the option of a two show day. I turned up too late for the Wednesday matinee but knew to get there WAY early for the evening line. (For reference- I got there at about 3pm for the 4:30pm selling time)

Posted: 3/31/06 at 9:23amDoes anyone know if student tickets will be available for a long time? Once school ends, and I can return back home, I would really like to see it again, but my biggest fear is that I get down there, and they don't do students tickets anymore.
