I couldn't resist picking up a cheap ticket for the Saturday matinee.
I take back my reservations about Ryan Molloy. He was absolutely superb.
The performance was far better than the first preview and is beginning to have some of the magic of the Broadway show. Reports from friends who went to the Saturday evening show indicate that it was excellent. Rapid progress is being made.
With another 17 previews to go!!! Im in again 2mrw (Mon) and i know at least another 2 previews i'll be at..... and of course opening night!
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
Does anyone on this thread have any information on if the Prince Edward are releasing day seats or not? I am getting conflicting views. Would really appreciate it, thank you.
Last nights performance was again faultless. Any hint of nerves from Thursdays first preview have gone. Full production team and Bob Gaudio there too. I don't think there's much else they can do to the show in the next two weeks- it could open tonight!

I was there last night and they were filming, but it didnt ruin my enjoyment one bit.
This is the second time i've seen this show and it really is probably one of the best shows around. The audience sure loved it last night, and i can really see this having a healthy run in the west end.
I believe that word of mouth will spread like wild fire, but a word to the two girls who were sitting next to me. Yes you had free tickets last night, but if you're not enjoying the show then just leave, and as you said to your gobby mate that you could sing better than the girls on stage, then why are you not up there.
Ok my rant is over, did i mention how good the show was?
did anyone see hjersey boys on gmtv on monday 17th they got moved from last thursday cause of that shannon matthews being found so if anyone has a link to anywhere i can watch it with my mum please help me please
Well it's opening night tonight. I'll be up there in the gods - how many other board members are going to be there too?
It looks like Frankie Valli will be there to take a bow - I heard a mention on Radio 2 that he's going to be on a show on Wednesday afternoon, so he must be over. Maybe Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci might come over too.

Only the Independent is mixed. In addition to the positive 4/5 from the Telegraph and the Times there's also a very good review from Quentin Letts in the Daily Mail plus a lavish feature too.
The best so far 5 out of 5 is in the Daily Express, but so far it doesn't seem to be up on the website though a transcript is on the JB London website.
out the main door turn right right agin about 10 doors up on the right! right!

If you want to go to the stage door after a show and are in the stalls take the exit on the left next to the stage and you end up coming out of the theatre next to the stage door. I t is next to a few restaurants on one side and a Chinese school on the other and opposite Ronnie Scott's on Frith Street.
The panning in the Guardian is no great loss. It's also a bit stupid: generally speaking people go to a musical to hear music and have some fun, not for deep characterisation. So she didn't review it on proper terms. She might as well have written "if you want a satisfying theatrical experience and explore character, don't go to any musical".
If you missed it, listen again to last night's BBC Radio 4 Front Row. They liked it. So we've got the BBC, Telegraph, Times, Mail,Express and Evening Standard liking it (with a couple of doubts about whether it crosses the pond) and the Guardian against.
The average rating is probably a bit better than the Broadway reviews were.
