re: Me and My Girl - Who wants a revival?

May 14, 2008 — 6:40:08 AM

www.dothelambethwalk.co.uk A brand new revival was produced in 2006 ahead of transfering in 2007 but its folded on tour despite good reviews and healthy houses. However - the producers, who have recently had a massive hit with 39 Steps, are looking at opening it directly onto the West End in 2009/Early 2010 ... so who knows if its successful a Broadway transfer could be insight.

re: London Evita Revival will NOT head to Broadway

Feb 13, 2008 — 5:17:16 PM

The show in the end was awfully rushed. It launced in February and opened in June. They thought Evita would natuarally just sell (like they do when a broadway it comes to london) so the marketing and advertising initially wasn't huge and needed to be. Also the production didn't help. It was awful. I love the music from Evita and love the show but this production was just so bland. The choreography didn't reflect the time and setting at all. Elena Roger, yes shes good, but no real star I have ...

re: First Wives Club -- The Musical is coming to Broadway!

But this, when you see the film, just has musical splashed across it. I just hope they get the rights to "You Dont Own Me" Gleason: Annie Mullally: Brenda Peters: Elise I dont get why Elise would be african american for. Maggie Smith and Victor Garver reprising their role would be heavenly

I love the film and think its perfect for a broadway show! Hope they get on to it asap!! Bernadette has to star. Have to say after seeing Frances' Showboat and recently Little Mermaid, i'm not blown away by her directing...
