Jersey Boys Synopsis and Lyrics

Today I was at fye and saw Jersey Boys was on sale for ten dollars. I got it, and I've listened to some of it, but I don't understand what's going on. The book contained no synopsis or lyrics, so I also have no idea who is singing. Does anyone know where I can find a synopsis and/or lyrics? Thanks!

Well just to let you know, all of the music is pre-existing...it was originally done by the Four Seasons (who were legends) I don't know how you could have missed that but okay...

I knew that.

What I meant was that the show tells the story of the Four Seasons, but it has no synopsis, so I have no idea what is going on, particulairly in scenes with dialogue.

The CD really doesn't do the best job at letting you know what is going on in the story. Basically it opens with Ce Soiree La which is in present time and it flashes back 30 years roughly with Tommy DeVito in Belleville, NJ starting a group. The lengthy track two talks you through getting the group together with Frankie getting into the group and Bob Gaudio aswell. Track 3 is the first time they sing together but still aren't the Four Seasons. Track 4 is when they were just working as back up singers for their producer Bob Crewe. After that it is fairly simple to know the story. It is just their songs pretty much in order of when they hit. The first dialogue (track 13) is when the group starts to fall apart. This continues on through the Medley which also is when the Four Seasons loses 3 of the original members and becomes Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Then it is just progression of the story line and the songs in the order they hit. Fallen Angel is when Frankie Valli's daughter dies and finally Ragdoll is practically present because the original Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Then Who Loves You is the last track and after the story is concluded and is just sort of a nice finale.

That really isn't the best synopsis but it is the general gist and I don't want to give the show away. Lyrics you can find online or you can buy the Jersey Boy vocal/piano songbook.
