I feel that a lot of newer cast recordings sound too produced or the mix is off. It could just be a streaming issue since the audio quality on Spotify is miles behind Tidal or Apple Music, or a CD/vinyl, but unfortunately A Strange Loop sounds a little off to me. Still listen frequently but it’s frustrating. The Kimberly Akimbo album sounds beautiful so far and the Into the Woods album is great too. I wish the Tonys would add a category for cast recordings so every producer would cough up the money for one!
