She typically does! Also just to note, Mariand Torres was on at the matinee today (possibly her last show ever, she leaves in a week or two)."
^ Case in point. I'm not trying to start anything, but it's no secret that a lot of Elphaba's do unofficial 7 show weeks. It's usually the Sunday matinee. Glad I didn't go to the lotto!"
On Broadway they only have the 4 show weekends for a few months so no it's not typical for them to do unofficial 7 show weeks. That being said Mariand is amazing and you probably would have seen her last show.

I saw Marianne the last time I tried to see Jessica. Yes, she is wonderful. That's not the point.

Mariand. Her name is Mariand Torres. The point people are trying to make is the Elphabas typically calls out on Sunday matinees which is not true at all since they only have a few months of 2 show Sundays to begin with.

I think the point is that, during that time when there are 2-show Saturdays and Sundays, the Elphabas might typically take off Sunday matinees, which could very well be true.
Just wanted to see if there's any update to whether Jessica has been doing both Sunday shows or not? I'm thinking of doing a Sunday evening as that seems safer than matinees. Anybody been recently on a Sunday and can report?

^She did both today. Well is doing both as the evening show hasn't started yet.
I recently succumbed to the #Wicked15 ad campaign and returned to the Gershwin earlier this week.
If you've ever had a desire to check in on Wicked, now is the time. Jessica Vosk as Elphaba is the real deal. As years of Wicked have gone by, I feel like Elphaba has become such an iconic role that actresses land the part and then "perform" it. Just fill the mold created by Elphabas past, maybe with a new riff or something somewhere to "make it your own."
Jessica Vosk is not like the others. From the moment she runs out at the top of the show, she deeply and beautifully inhabits Elphaba. I've loved Wicked for, well, now 15 years, and it's taken this long from the first time I saw it to see another Elphaba who makes and executes such excellent acting choices and who sings SO crisply, clearly, and powerfully. There are no low, slow moments with Vosk's Elphaba. She makes each scene feel vital and important to the arc of her character.
Anyway, I just had to rave about Vosk because right now, there is indeed fresh life being breathed into the long-runner at the Gershwin.
Did you happen to see Jackie Burns, Concierge?
I did, LesWickedly! Burns is incredible, and definitely one of the best Elphabas I’ve seen. But I do think that Vosk is on another level.
What did you think about AJC, BC? Or was Lindsay on?
Amanda Jane was on, Bwayfan, and I thought she was okay. Not bad or anything, but definitely one of the more “going through the motions” Glindas.
Ah. So I guess it wasn't an off night when I saw her. Thats a shame.
With Amanada Jane Cooper off a lot recently, I would have loved to see Brittany Johnson go on as Glinda
