Is JoAnne still in Drowsy Chaperone now that the strike is over?

re: JoAnne Worley

Who is JoAnne Worley and what is this I hear about a feather boa?

re: JoAnne Worley

Thanks...odd time to leave.. but maybe she wants to do the holidays in LA.

Anyone know who is replacing her?

re: JoAnne Worley

No one has been named as her replacement yet - but word on the street is they really want to get Liza.

re: JoAnne Worley

Get her for what?

Liza would have to have an ash tray on stage

re: JoAnne Worley

The Liza rumor is something that was most likely a tongue-in-cheek comment from Michael Reidel when he had to post a retraction after accidentally stating that The Drowsy Chaperone had announced a closing date.

re: JoAnne Worley

It's Cindy, not Cyndi. More than that I cannot say - at this time, other than she's probably on her way to NY.

Per Marie Osmond's reps -- Marie is considering numerous Broadway offers she's been receiving.

I smell a drowsy chaperone in the air or some van tussels ruining the ozone layer.

re: JoAnne Worley

Liza has already stated in the press that she will never do Broadway again. She says that at 60, she no longer has the stamina nor the need to commit to an 8 performances a week schedule.

Enough with the Liza babble. It ain't happening AND this is from her own lips.

re: JoAnne Worley

At sixty? Is that a joke? If so, she's been sixty for a few years now.

re: JoAnne Worley

Cindy's playing Mrs. Tottendale, we were thinking of Liza as the Drowsy Chaperone. Sheesh! Still Beth Leavel is awesome, playing Liza as the Drowsy Chaperone. Liza enjoyed the show! Hell, she is the Chaperone! Poor dear but I admire her courage and how she has met her challenges with hard liquor! re: JoAnne Worley

It will be too bad to see JoAnne leave but she has other things to do than put up with a cold and blustery Winter I can imagine. I hope she enjoyed the show.

re: JoAnne Worley

Can't Liza at least do a special Broadway engagement? A concert? Where she only has to do 6 performances a week or something? I want to see Liza come back to New York and perform at least! Where is her concert tour taking her?
[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.
