Posted: 8/5/07 at 10:46pm... Speaking of John Barrowman... he would be perfect for what current show on Broadway... I'm thinking he would be wonderful as "Robert Martin" in "The Drowsy Chaperone." from RC in Austin, Texas

John's currently shooting a TV series in the UK. Plus, he's more of a West End guy when it comes to theatre.
But if we're talking hypothetically, I'd love to see John originate a role on Broadway.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Posted: 8/6/07 at 3:08amI still feel we would have been better as Will in Will&Grace, can you believe they said no to him because he was too "straight"?

Posted: 8/6/07 at 3:41amYou know I was all hot and bothered for everything John Barrowman during the 27th series of Dr Who when it was first filmed, but after watching Torchwood & the 29th series of Dr Who I suddenly am no longer impressed. I think in between I caught alot of his musical theatre stuff that was out on DVD and was very underwelmed (though his scene in "Springtime for Hitler" is completely awesome).

I like John but not a huge fan of his... seeing him onstage quite a few times, I find his acting to be abit eh and his singing abit eh eh ~ But I CAN see him as Robert in Drowsy though!
As for the Will & Grace thing... when I saw that bit in the Charlotte Church show, I find him abit arrogant and rude about being rejected. I personally find him to be not so good of an actor (onstage/on screen) and he cannot for one second imagine him and Debra Messing whilst Eric on the other hand is a way better actor and quite a decent singer as well! Oh well... the show's came and gone ~
Anyway... so yeah, I would like to see John as Robert Martin in Drowsy!

Posted: 8/6/07 at 5:45amhe was offered the role of Robert Martin in the West End version but he could not commit to it because of his filming of Dr Who and, mainly, Torchwood

Posted: 8/6/07 at 11:14amAnyone see on Graham Norton where he teased he was going to show full frontal, but then showed a bit of his bum? Haha.

Posted: 8/6/07 at 11:38amEveryone should watch the blooper on the Putting it Together DVD. His reaction is annoyingly faaaaar over the top which really hit the nail on the head as to why I haven't liked him all this time: bro is faaaake. The british Tom Cruise.

Posted: 8/6/07 at 12:03pmOhhh a lot of people have see him bum...having met him AND seen him onstage I am NOT a fan AT ALL. Arrogance isn't really attractive and he's got it in spades. He has an ok voice and can't act his way out of a paperbag IMO. I call him Philia (Lovely all he is is lovely).

Posted: 8/6/07 at 1:42pmHushpuppy...you beat me to the punch on that one. For those of you who might be wondering....there IS a bit of hidden meaning in Hush's remark. It seems that Mr. Barrowman, years ago, was in a sporting mood and used his enormous... "buddy...south of his belly button" as the meat for a hamburger bun. I think I saw it on Billy Masters' site once. It's a scream. from RC in Austin, Texas

I thought his reaction to Carol's skirt falling down in Putting it Together was genuine. I laugh like that when I find something funny and I am so not fake...as if! (lol)
But I still think he is very cute --too bad he has a husband.
