John Kerry Thanks B'Way

I'm not a member of the NY Post online ("Kerry Picks Gephardt"), and I would really like to see that article. Anyone a member who can paste it on here?

Page 6: "WE HEAR . . .
THAT John Kerry returns to New York tomorrow to thank a large cast of Broadway performers for getting behind his 2004 presidential bid. At the Chelsea loft of p.r. exec Scott Widmeyer, the Democrat will mingle with the likes of Kathleen Turner, Cheyenne Jackson, Cady Huffman and Kelli O'Hara."

One of the many reasons why Kerry should be in office right now. re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

And while Bush is mingering on his little old ranch, Kerry's doing this. Good for him. re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

Hmm, a candidate thanking his campaign contributors. What's the big deal?

re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

Kerry continues to be distinctly unimpressive.

*still has sad little Dean sticker*

re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

Don't be fooled. He's rounding up support for 2008. Bill went the "pals with entertainers" route and Kerry is trying to do the same. But he's going to have to start hanging around bigger stars than those.

The party can do better than Kerry. He just won the primaries last time around because shortsighted people thought his medals made him the most "electable" candidate. Bull.

"The party can do better than Kerry." I agree with that.

I think in the primaries it's going to be Hillary vs Kerry.

While I like Hillary alot I'm not sure this country is ready for her as president.

And while I do like Kerry he is not the best candidate either!

I don't think Kerry has a chance in '08. Once a loser...

Nixon proved it can be done.

Wouldn't it be funny if the 2008 campaign was Clinton/Obama vs Rice/Guiliani?

re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

That would be a-ma-zing. Also, close to improbable, but what the hey.

The only way I could see it happening is if the nomination of Clinton seemed a near-certainty, then the Republicans pushed forward Rice in a gesture of "anything you can do I can do better." Kind of like a more extreme and earnest version of Keys being brought in to run against Obama.

The funny thing is that Giuliani seems like a huge dealbreaker, too. Goth, you have to remember that he's pro-choice, and from New York, which to a lot of the Republican base translates to "Satan of Gomorrah."

re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

Do you think they would run Obama after only four years in the Senate?
#21

re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

Yeah, unlike a certain someone, he can't run on his daddy's name to make up for political inexperience.

re: John Kerry Thanks B'Way

That would not be a wise move to run obama, with that little experience. It would be repeating John Edwards lack of experience.

Pandering to middle america has done the dems nothing. They've lost all 3 branches. They may as well get some chutzpah and move to the left where they belong.

Clinton/Obama in '08!
