You can continue raising money even after the event is over. The site is kept live year-round, so send out a big mass-email today. Spouzic-send it to all the kids on Matt Morrison's site. I'm sure some of them will sponsor you!
See you all tomorrow...I'll be the one with the crown :) I just broke 1K!

Whooooooo, Jamie!! He acts, he directs, he fundraises-- is there anything the McG can't do?
Can't wait to see y'all tomorrow-- find the BWW table after you sign in (or, for Jamie, after your fancy-shmancy breakfast), and we'll be all set to go! I'll try to pick up fresh doughnuts or bagels and coffee for the team, but no promises!
As an added incentive, my wonderful friend Jay has offered some excellent discounts to anyone participating in the walk tomorrow night at his bar, The Cubbyhole. Details below:
Anyone who's doing the AidsWalk on Sunday, bring in some sort of paraphenalia (t-shirt, ribbon, button, or pamphlet I'll be handing out to walkers Sunday -- something that shows you walked) and get $2 off *every* drink. Not just the first one. Every drink. That excludes the specials ($3 Marys, Margaritas, and Killian Drafts)... spread the word to all your walker friends!
The Cubbyhole 281 W. 12th Street (corner of W. 4th St in the W. Village) A, C, E to 14th St, walk south on 8th 3 blocks to W. 4th St. and hang a left. 8pm-close

I've been planning to take part in the AIDS Walk but something turned up that may keep me from going.
I need a document to be notarized by 8 AM on Monday and have only located one notary out here on Long Island and he's available only from 9 AM to 2 PM tomorrow, and that pretty well negates my getting into the city for the walk.
Is anyone who is participating in the Walk a notary public?
How about Tesse's friend at the bar? Is he a notary?
hey, do you guys have any need for 1 more walker? I didn't think I'd be able to participate in the Walk at all due to my work schedule, but now it turns out I can- as long as I'm at the job by 2.
So I'm not sure how much cash I can raise by tomorrow morning. I know I can get a little from a friend or 2, but it won't be too substantial. I'm planning to participate regardless of affiliation, but if you're open to a little Broadway Matt on the team, I'd be thrilled to register with the BWW Team & walk with u good folks. someone reply or PM me and let me know any info I ought to have. this'll be my 1st year doing the NY walk so I don't know how it's all works.

I believe the entrance is on 59th and 5th streets in between the Wollman rink and the zoo. Sign in starts at 8:30, the opening ceremony is at 9:15, walk starts at 10
all signed up! I'll hopefully make it in time for the ceremony, but I'm not so good with mornings- so we'll see. in any case, I'M looking forward to a lovely day!

I'm so proud of all of our walkers!! Getting started was a little hectic and confusing what with the huge crowd and lots of events going on all around, but we had a great group together and made it through!!
you guys suck, I showed up and you all had left already, I even asked the Bway.com team what happened to you guys. i had to do the entire walk by myself with people asking me if I wanted to hold their stuff while they pushed me.
Oh, no... We waited at the table until about 10:00, saw that most of the other teams were leaving, and decided we should get started, too. I knew I'd made a bad call when some other team members caught up with us later on the trail, and said that the sign-in tables still had huge lines. Next time, I'll make sure I have every team member's cell phone number so I can find out where they are and no one winds up left behind.
I'm so very, very sorry-- I should never have doubted that you would be there. You raised so much money for the team, and it's unconscionable that you had to go it alone. I hope you'll forgive me and my bad judgment calls, and that you know how much the entire team values your hard work and contributions.

its alright, it was still fun. I tried to find out craigs number but everyone that I knew that might have it didnt answer their phone- probably cuz it was so early in the morning. i was at the sign in tables at 910 or so, tons of people there. i even asked at an information table where you guys were but they were no help. i thought maybe id catch up if there was a lot of downhill stuff but i never spotted anyone. I felt bad cuz jezzebelle and i were planning to hang out after the walk and I never found her.
I'm sorry, Mistress! I wish I would have seen you, I also got there and couldn't find anyone, and the Broadway.com people had said they left already, so my cousin and I ran thru the crowd until we finally spotted the BWW sign. I wish we had known, we would have waited for you.
And to Tesse and everyone else, thank you for a lovely walk, you are all such awesome people, and my cousin and I had a great time walking with you all yesterday!
