OK - I saw JG in Spring Awakening and enjoyed his performance and singing very much (even with the massive amounts of spit spraying from his mouth on every song - LOL). good looking, nice voice, good actor. fine.
But, he seems to be cast in something new about every 2 months. I haven't had the chance to see him in any of his post-SprAw work. Is all this casting really justified or is he just the flavor of the month riding the wave?

where are you?
He's very talented and he will take off his clothes when asked.
Just kidding, the right roles are coming his way and he seems to connected with the Public Theatre.
Good for him,
He likes to work?

Really- why don't the ugly, non-singing, wooden actors get cast more?
1. Because he's a very good working-actor
2. Emphasis on "working"

I don't think it should be Why so Much of Him? it should be good for him getting work in this tough time and going from stable job to stable job. He is absolutely talented. So I am happy for him. Young talented successful performer getting very good exposure (no pun intended).

I think Jonathan Groff is more charming than talented. That said, I am happy for his success.

I think the same could be said for Cheyenne Jackson...as much as I love him...he's everywhere...
But good for them...they're cute and they're getting work

Great that he's working so much. He is charming, I could watch him over and over.
Honestly, I think it's just because playwrights keep writing roles that require a young actor to get naked and everyone automatically thinks of Groff.
I have much respect for Jonathan for really devoting himself to crafting his art as an actor in off-Broadway theatr. He brought multiple levels to his recent performance in the Singing Forest, a three act play, and raised the reality level of his character in a highly effective way it what was essentially a non-real situational play. As for the nudity, well, the last two plays he performed in were written by the definitively gay playwright Craig Lucas, who wrote in those scenes. I suspect that most aspiring actors of Jonathan's age would drop their clothes off promptly in order to find work today in legitimate theatre.
He is b'way's sweetheart for sure. People that work with him want to continue to work with him. He's THAT kind of guy.
He's amazingly honest, sincere and hard working. He has a work ethic that will amaze people. He's charming.
AND he's pretty talented. And pretty. And will get naked. Which is not a complaint.
And exciting he's taking on a classic piece of theater.
OH....and his movie comes out about a week after The Bacchae opens. (Taking Woodstock)
