Ya, the St. Louis children's chorus for Joseph was extremely talented. They took the kids from The Muny Kids Touring Troupe (see link) a group I was once part of (in fact many Muny kids recently ave been seen in national tour and on Broadway!). My friends (who were in it) told me that they were specially given a dance in the beginning of ACT 2to go with the song because they were liked so much by the producers (or whoever they were in contact with) I wouldn't know if this is true or not cause I haven't seen the show in other cities. Did the children's chorus do the dance in the beginning of Act 2 everywhere?
And yes, Patrick Cassidy's children were then thrown into the number and I could hear people around me saying "Look at those two kids in front" "they can't dance" "they aren't even singing". Thank goodness he introduced them at the end of the show. How many shows did they do a week? I know they didn't do all of them.

In every city did the dance with the kids at the beginning of Act 2, the Entr'acte. They (Cassidy's kids) didn't use to do every show, but then they started getting paid, so they do all but two shows in every city.
