I can't find anything that says she is out, I read the review in the newspaper and a different girl than Natalie played the narrator on opening night. I should have just ask Patrick Cassady at the stage door when we saw him.
Having heard Natalie Hill sing.... I think the show is gonna be ok
Reviving this because I'm seeing the tour tomorrow... has it gotten any better since April? LOL
Well, seeing that it was one of the worst things I've ever seen before, and now the best part of the show (not saying much) has left it beccause she blew out her voice, I'd say it's now a complete train wreck.
Not that it wasn't before, but there are just no survivors now.
I am seeing it in the Spring. I certainly hope that it will be better than. Different cast perhaps? I hope so.
I just saw the tour last Sunday in Orange County. They still had Amy Adams listed as the narrator, but I saw the understudy, Christine something. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't spectacular.
Glad we got cheap seats then and aren't really wasting money seeing this, sounds like..
I loved the tour, I've seen it 3 times. Twice with Amy Adams, who was fantastic, and once with Nataly, who was totally miscast in this role.

Amy is out on matinee performances. The show isn't THAT bad.
Just a quick note, for those of you who have seen the show and heard the cd, you might have noticed Amy sings with a British accent. She thinks that it is because she heard Linzi Hatley do it on the CD, and so she picked it up.

Patrick Cassidy was horrible. He played the role like "I do this every night...whatever" attitude towards it. And don't even get me started on how 'Go Go Go Joe' reminded me of a bad Richard Simmons video (well...I dont think there's a good one either.)
That was the worst show ever put in the Pantages Theatre!
The end was awful!!!!!! The whole orchestra was pre-recorded, the kidddie chorus didn't help, and The sets, lights and costumes SUCKED!!!!!
I didn't care for the kids in the chorus, the sets, or the costumes weren't the best either, but the show is a beautiful fairytale with a great learning message for kids. Far from being a horrible show that "sucked"
This tour is here October 6-8th. I can't wait to check it out.
EponineAmneris, where are you located? I think this tour is not performing at all in OCT, at least what it says on BWW(National Tours)

The show ends tomorrow and I believe that Amy is still with the tour but does not perform every performance.
So if the tour ends tomorrow, does a new tour begin within the next few months, or is it a new tour/cast?
It doesn't end tomorrow, at least it doesn't say so on BWW. Check the national tours.
Just got back. The show was good, but not the best theatrical experience I've ever had. I mainly went because it was the first professional theatre production I ever saw when I was little, so it has a bit of sentimental meaning to me. :) Amy was out, saw Lisa ... somethingorother as the Narrator. I don't have my program with me right this second, so I can't look. REALLY loved Derek Ferguson as Benjamin, though. He was a stand-out in the ensemble/brothers to me.
Our sound was great, though I had problems understanding Pharoah during his song, as the ensemble over-powered him at times. The lighting and costumes were pretty good, IMO.
Only thing that had me "blah" during the show was at the end, during Any Dream Will Do (reprise) or whatever. The two kids that Patrick goes to are both of his sons, and for some reason he feels the need to break character and tell this to the audience. I mean, the show is still going on, what the hell? There's no need to mouth "this one's mine" "this one is, too!" to us when you're still supposed to be Joseph, not Patrick Cassidy.
Whatever, though. It was good and I had fun, but I'm not sure it was worth the $50 I paid per ticket, especially since I was up in the balcony and our theatre houses almost 2,000.
Im glad i saw this show. Amy really was the highlight of the show. The tix you got sound kinda expensive for the fact they were in the balcony?

muscle23ftl are u talking about the kids chorus as in u dont like it in the show or as u didnt like the kids u saw.. i saw it in STL and the ckids chorus was really good. Amy Adams made the show...she was amazing though a little stiff on stage......her voice was incredible for the part
"the kidddie chorus didn't help" someone said and i responded that i didn't care for the kids, but i am not saying they couldn't sing.
What city is STL?

The only thing I can vividly remember about the show was Patrick Cassidy's abs. He was amazingly skinny and then his abs were extremly carved out. With the addition of the gratuitous eyeliner, it was rather odd. The performances were decent though, but I still prefer the recorded Donny Osmand/ Maria Friedman cast.
STL = St. Louis
Our kids chorus was just fine. It was kids from the Nebraska Children's Choir. :)

Patrick Cassidys kids are the two in the front (Jack and Cole) they are the ones that are sitting on stage sleeping, picking there noses, scratching their backs, yawning etc. They really ruin the kids choir. I am glad that Patrick Cassidy points out who his kids are, because then you know who is responsible for those kids, and so you know they aren't part of the childrens chorus who most of the time are wonderful. Anyways the Equity tour ends tommorow, and a new non-equity tour will open after.
