You can get a few samples of his music on his website, www.joshuakobak.com. You can also order the CD through www.cdbaby.com (there's a link on his site). The CD was recorded with his band Swim, so has all this percussion and instruments and just this really cool sound. He does a great job of recreating it solo, and I just like the feel of his stuff.

I went to Josh's gig last night, and as always, it was amazing...he sang In Your Eyes (Peter Gabriel cover), Maya, Swimming (which has been added to Subway Train), InStyle, Light, Mr. Harrison, In Turbulence, Calloused Hands, and The Water's Wide/Something Here. Definitely get his cd; I swear, you'll be a better person....or at least a really big Joshua whore. And, sadly, he cut his hair last night so there are no more curls.

Dude, his hair looked gooood, short suits him better. Though I miss his faux hawk! Apparently, he had it cut WHILE at Rent last night, since it was still long during the show, when he was a cop, but short at the gig. A few friends of mine who were at both were quite confused!

Gah. I wish I coulda gone last night - Joshua puts on a great live show, and In Your Eyes is my absolute favorite song ever. His cover is awesome.

In Your Eyes was the best cover of that song I've heard....towards the chorus it became a singalong. And I miss the faux hawk too! I thought I was the only one who actually liked that look.

Woohoo, there is now a next time!
Josh will be playing at The Bitter End at 8pm on September 11th. Knowing his music, and that environment, I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful evening. If you have yet to experience his music live, this is really going to be a great introduction. I know I'm going.
Emcee- I saw it the same night as you...
I thought Josh's acting was great, and I sympathized with his roger, but I wasn't a big fan of his voice. off night? maybe.
