I had no idea her 'Losing My Mind' costume and wig changed over the course of the run? Was it during previews? Anyone remember?

I always though thought the first style was way too plain for Loveland, but I had no idea it was actually changed.

Yup... her costume was indeed changed in previews. The first video is from an early preview.

Many costume choices are changed during previews:

During early previews, Sutton Foster originally wore overalls when she first appears in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE. That was later changed to the yellow country dress.

During early previews, Stephanie J. Block wore a long haired wig for her early Liza Minnelli scenes. That idea was nixed and she ended-up wearing the short pixie trademark Liza Minnelli wig for ALL her scenes.

Bernadette Peters wore different costumes during the early previews of the 2003 revival of GYPSY.

Its endless and quite common.

Thanks for the info.

I know costumes/wigs are often changed. But I've been watching the first clip of Ivey for years, and always thought the dress was completely wrong. I was shocked to see it was actually changed!
