I dont know if any of these have been posted, but I came across this video of Judy Kuhn singing Vanilla Ice Cream from Roundabout's Theatre's 93 revival of She Love's Me! Her acting and singing in this is pretty amazing!!! To bad she did not get to record the 93 revival cast recording

I also found these other videos from the same production!

Enjoy!!! :)
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! The cast recording of that revival is one of the biggest missed opportunities for me. Such a shame. This video has given me life today.

You are welcome!!! I was pretty excited too when i found it!!! I agree it was such a missed opportunity to have her vocals of all that beautiful music persevered.

why isn't she featured on the cast recording if she was in the original cast?
It had something to do with when the show transferred and also she left the production to play Betty Schafer in Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
I love this clip as much as I love apostrophes in the right place!

Kuhn had already left the production to do SUNSET BLVD. in LA when the recording was made, so it was recorded with Fratantoni, who was playing the part at the time. I wish they would have brought her back in to record the album, seeing how she opened the show and was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the role.

Oh thank you thank you thank you for this!!!
It is everything about the current revival that just disappointed me soooo much. I bought that Judy Kuhn wa the same person when she sings as when she speaks and that just isn't the case with laura Benanti (whom I always love otherwise). This revival disappointed me more that any revival in years, because I felt like each principle was in a different show and Laura was in a full blown operetta when she sang and then a Friends-like sitcom when she spoke.
The '93 production was, in my opinion, perfection

I must admit that I prefer Kuhn's take on it, as well. She's just so natural in everything she does. You just lose her completely in her character. The look she gets in her eyes when she sings, and the way the lyrics emanate from those eyes….just so believable.
But then again, I'm a fan. Seeing her in Sunset Boulevard in LA, and that great duet she does with Alan Campbell….just beautiful. Her performance as Betty was wonderful.
And what a treat to then get to experience her artistry in Fun Home.
That whole production was like this...natural and the performances truly emanated from a lovely reality. Sally Mayes...her A Trip to The Library is attached and equally sublime...was a revelation to me in this and I wish that we got to see more of her. If you will notice, in as much as you can, the staging of that song. She isn't trapped and forced to upstage herself by the blocking. Jane Krakowski is placed in a no win situation by having to be cramped into that tiny set piece. She either has to make the song a monologue and ignore that she is talking to Sipos OR constantly upstage herself by including him. Bad direction.
Love it! The final moments gave me chills. I saw the revival with Diane Frantantoni as Amalia, and I thought she was wonderful.

This is awesome! Thank you! Just saw it tonight with Laura Benanti and I have to say that the OBC the '93 revival and the current one all have stellar Amalia's.
