I dont know if this has been announced, but Spring Awakening is defiantly performing at the Tony's! My friend was part of the costume crew when the show was still on Broadway and today he posted a pic on facebook at the Tony rehearsal for Spring Awakening.

I agree Heather is 100 times better then JHud! and you can tell they restaged Shug's scenes for Heather to really shine. I remember seeing the show with JHud and she just stood there and sang the song with no real feelings or emotions and there was no tender moments or real connection of how Shug started to show feelings for Celie. Heather really acts and sings the song beautifully and you can see her emotions show throughout the song and you can see the conection between Celie and Shug.

Kuhn had already left the production to do SUNSET BLVD. in LA when the recording was made, so it was recorded with Fratantoni, who was playing the part at the time. I wish they would have brought her back in to record the album, seeing how she opened the show and was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the role.

how w much are the rush tickets?

i recommend buying standing room tickets if you dont mind standing. I was in the standing room last night center section for $35 and had a full view of the stage. I think the standing room section is better than particle view side orchestra seats. They usually only sell 10 to 16 tickets for standing room, it depends on the day of the week. last night they only sold 10 standing room tickets. people start lining up at 3:45pm / 4:00pm and tickets go on sale at 6pm
