Posted: 3/8/06 at 6:44pmThe first time I heard of Julia was when I saw her in L5Y with Jason Robert Brown. Wow she is sweet. Stephanie J Block was one of the sweetest people I have ever met and now Julia....it must be a Elphaba thing.

Posted: 3/8/06 at 6:47pmYep. I talked to the new Nessa, Jen Waldman, online this morning. She told me that the new cast had their full dress rehearsel last week, so I assume that is when the picture was taken.

Bwaytheatre11....
The new cast rehearsed in New York for two weeks from February 1st- 14th. They joined up with the tour through it's run in Pittsburgh, and had their actual "put on rehearsels" with the cast at this time.

I didn't realize Kathy Brier took over as Glinda.
I didn't really like her in Hairspray, but I think this just might be a good role for her. Good for her!

Kathy is definitly not Glinda...just saw her at Barnes and Noble tonight singing with One Life to Live...for there new CD.
That girl is soooooo good. Get her back on broadway!
Can't wait for the reviews of Julia. Why can't she be doing it in NY...her and Eden could alternate performances :)

Posted: 3/9/06 at 1:29amI just got home from the show in Cincinnati and am too tired to post a detailed review, I will try to do that soon. The show was FANTASTIC!!! Although I know the music well, it was my first time to see the show and I absolutely loved it. Julia Murney was phenomenal, her voice perfectly suits the role of Elphaba. I was brought to tears during "Defying Gravity" and "For Good" (well just to name a few times) OMG I am still so overwhelmed I think I could cry again.
