Julie Andrews was the centre of attention at a press conference on March 29 announcing that the revival of THE BOY FRIEND she directed will play in Toronto next season as part of the line-up announced today by Mirvish Productions. Also included are the tour of MOVIN' OUT and a revival of LES MISERABLES (it's 5th time in Tornto!)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
Revival of Les Miserables? Already?
But I love "dame" Julie Andrews... she is a queen

I was invited to the press conference, too. Damn me for not going to see Julie Andrews live before my eyes.
I don't think it's a revival, but the touring production of LES MIZ that is making another visit to Toronto.
