Posted: 2/10/05 at 4:25pmyeah, i'm not a fan. it's too boring...doesn't captivate me. i think they could have come up with something a little more creative, dramatic, and...let's just say they could have done better, i think.

Posted: 2/10/05 at 5:08pmas much as i luv Denzel, that is the most blah marquee I've seen. Nothing at all to draw me in other than Denzel. Maybe that was the point though....

Posted: 2/10/05 at 11:15pmit really is very "blah". its like they thought "hey it says denzel washington, we don't hafta to put any effort into making it creative or interesting, because that's enough to grab anyone's attention"

It's a ridiculously ugly marquee. I said something about it in the other thread regarding favorite and least favorite marquees.
Also, Im SURE they could have found a much more flattering picture of Denzel. Hell, I HAVE more flattering pictures of him.. they should have called me

They certainly are riding a lot on Denzel's name. That marquee certainly doesn't get anyone's attention, nor does it entice any interest in the show. It must've been designed as a challenge on The Apprentice. Can you imagine what the rejects looked like? Or perhaps they just didn't care enough to come up with more than one idea.
Will Denzel be wearing a toga or will it be a "concept" production?

He could wear a toga or he could wear a paper bag and *I'd* still pay to go see him.
Just found out the other night it's only a 3 month run....
Can I again state what a godawful marquee that is? I walk past it all the time and can't bear to look at it.

Posted: 2/11/05 at 9:58pmWhy is "Washington" a smaller size than "Denzel" and the title of the play, both of which are the same (larger) size?
