Since we are all theatre lovers here our discussions are colored by the fact that we understand theatre.
The following review is by a non-devotee. I found it interesting to read his take on the show.
A fanboy goes to Broadway

....but the world goes 'round

I like this:

"The original Young Frankenstein’s stroke of genius was how close it stuck to the original source material. I got to see it on the big screen a few years back, and it’s just a gorgeous-looking film. If you don’t notice Marty Feldman’s face, you’d swear you’re watching Bride of Frankenstein. Young Frank’s the straightest, least cheeky of all Mel’s comedies. But once you add music and hammier acting to the proceedings, all sense of horror verisimilitude goes out the window."

"Y'know, I think Bertolt Brecht was rolling in his grave."
-Nellie McKay on the 2006 Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera, in which she played Polly Peachum

He may have seen the movie dozens of times...but it's not even close to the source material.

I think I'm going to try to use the following phrase in real life as often as possible, "[they] ate it up like chocolate chip pancakes".

Dracula has been successfully produced for the stage.

Tee hee hee. Yes. And very unsuccessfully produced as well.

The successful DRACULA (non-musical with Frank Langella)of the late 1970's did NOT try to match the look/feel of the movie. It had highly theatrical Edward Gorey scenery.

I hate Ain't it Cool. But I'm glad you posted. I do think it's funny that the "expert" thinks Young Frankenstein sticks closely to it's source material- Do you think he means the Mary Shelley Novel or one of the dozens of movies made from it?

They did manage to misspell "Spamalot" in the intro.
