Who knew they were on sale?
Got a primo orchestra seat for a Saturday matinee during previews. Gotta love Studentix.
We got two tixs too for March 15

I'm there on March 15, as well (evening performance). Great seat in the orchestra, Row K. Studentix is now officially forgiven for not offering ROCK 'N' ROLL.

Agreed, AC1...though I'm not going on the 15th, as you two are.

Funny, I got my tix for the day before -- on the 14th with my membership last month (a pair in the 5th row center for $40/each).
Lincoln Center was peculiar with SOUTH PACIFIC. Usually, they send an e-mail to student members letting them know when tickets are set to go on sale. They never e-mailed us about it. The tickets went on sale to the public on Saturday, but didn't go on sale to student members until Sunday. I woke up early to buy them on Sunday, but they weren't on sale online yet, and still weren't as of two o'clock that afternoon. So, I finally just went across town to the box office and bought my tickets there. I don't mind--it saved me the service charge--but it was weird that they weren't publicizing any information about the show to us.

What is Studentix? Sorry if this is a stupid question
Do you think the strike will be over by then?
Lincoln Center is not affected by the STRIKE.
So with Roundabout & MTC

How often do they re-open registration for student tix for those who want to be members? I just signed up to be on the waiting list.
I'll be there first preview!

Be there in June!
Thanks for the heads-up! We now have tickets for May!
Are you sure the stike will be over by then? I dont want to buy tickets if there might be a strike.

Did you not read Jaystarr's response? He was the post immediately following your earlier post.
Lincoln Center is a non-profit theater so it is not covered under the current strike. So go ahead and buy.
I just want to make sure the strike will be over. I have been waiting to see South Pacific for months and months and my life and dreams would just be ruined if I buy tickets and its cancled for a strike.

.....But they already said it won't be affected so why do you have to make sure it's over?

Yeah, how often do they re-open registration?
Get yourself on the waiting list for studentix. Most of my friends were on the waiting list for a year before getting in.
I don't think registration will re- open... it's more like, the waiting list moves people in.

LCT membership is so famed that, as they proudly state, it factors into people's divorce settlements, wills, etc. Or is that Roundabout/MTC? Either way, it's all the same.
Studentix membership has been closed since they started it 2 years ago. I don't think they open it back up...they just wait for people to leave and give the first few on the waiting list the opportunity to sign up.
I've seen (pretty much) every one of their shows since signing up. Front row for Light in the Piazza, mid-orchestra for all 3 Utopias, and random very good seats for House in Town, Clean House, etc. It's completely worthwhile if you can get in.
But Yankee, will the strike effect the waiting list?
