Posted: 9/24/10 at 5:06pmJust pausing for a break..this CD is just what I wanted to hear ...and a treat to find on my doorstep after a week of opera..another Kander and Ebb score that delivers all you want..my only complaint? I can't see it next weekend when I get to NY.

Posted: 9/24/10 at 7:15pmI really want to see this show. How's the music?? One question, I'm assuming it's ok t see it in Previews, right? Since it played out of state and already have a Cast Recording the show is already "frozen" at this point?

There's never any guarantee. BBAJ recorded WHILE it was still playing at the Public (but I don't know if there are any significant changes) and Spring Awakening recorded and then still made changes as well.

Posted: 9/28/10 at 3:32pmI got mine here in the UK from the Dress Circle website. Loving it..has that unique Kander and Ebb sound..only an eight piece band but they are tight and hot. Go Back Home, You Can't Do Me and The Scottsboro Boys are my favourites so far. Booklet has plenty of colour pics and all the lyrics. As with all JAY recordings its beautifully produced. One odd listing in the booklet is a bonus track of Go Back Home sung by John Kander but on the actual CD its listed as Exit Music. John's version is very touching. Must be hard to sing your best friend's lyrics when he's gone. Just gutted I'm over a week too early to see it. Hope there is some brave producer and enough talent here in the UK to bring it over.

I believe Smaxie said that there have since been changes to the score since it was recorded.

Posted: 9/29/10 at 5:32pmJust spent a 2nd evening listening to the CD..wow I cannot believe there is not more excitement on the board! This show opens in a week and there is more chat about out of town non equity tours of very old musicals. You've got a NEW show in town. Go and be brave and buy tickets. I wish it was opening here in the UK.

Love the score ,which is the version I saw at the Vineyard. They've cut "It'll Take Time" and added a song.
