"A. Bancroft" and "T. Meehan Jr." are names listed beside the buttons that Max pushes during "Along Came Bialy".
Forgive me for NOT doing a search, but I'm not currently at home and not on high speed internet. Yes, I'm in the dark ages of Dial-up til Monday. Eek!
Anyone else notice this in the movie? You'd have to pause it to see. It's 4am and I'm up watching the movie in celebration of my local theatre company's auditions for the show next month.
What are some other cool little things you've noticed from movie musicals?

In the film-version of MAMMA MIA!, during the song "Mamma Mia", Meryl Streep opens a closed wooden window revealing a poster/flyer for Donna and The Dynamos at FERNANDO'S.

On her track on the DVD, Susan Stroman mentions the names on the mailboxes. She also says to watch the poster for King "Leer" when Ulla first enters the office. Really a great track to listen to while watching the film.
In spite of the poor reviews for the film. I really enjoy it.

According to IMDB:
"When Max is visiting the old ladies in their apartment buildings, he pushes lots of apartment call buttons. Among the list of names are A. Bancroft, a tribute to Anne Bancroft, director 'Mel Brooks (I)' late wife; M. Kaminsky, which is Brooks' birth name; and J. Gatsby, the main character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby.""

"...and J. Gatsby, the main character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby."
Is there a reason Brooks chose to reference Mr. Gatsby's name on the buttons? Did he enjoy F. Scott Fitzgerald's works?

Posted: 8/16/08 at 1:51pmI don't know if the "Angel" tag in the Rent movie had to do with the character. It could have been a coincidence because they used names of people who worked at the studio and who were part of the crew's names as tags for the graffiti that was seen through out the movie.
