KENNEDY CENTER 2008-2009 SEASON ANNOUNCED

Hi Everyone,
I was just on the John F. Kennedy Center's website and they have announced their broadway season for 2008/2009. I was kind of disappointed with the choices because I was hoping for Jersey Boys and a few others Maybe they will come to Baltimore. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. The shows are as follows but I could not find the exact dates yet: Blanche and Beyond; Frost/Nixon; Giant; Legally Blonde; Ragtime; Spring Awakening; and The Color Purple (which Baltimore is already getting in April/May). Anyone know anything about the broadway season for Baltimore Hippodrome yet? Have a great day everyone.

Is it their own production of Ragtime? If so, that's pretty exciting.

This is pleasantly surprising. I have been disappointed by the lack of risks the Kennedy Center has taken in the last few years (The Lion King? Really did we need that this season). The third generation concerts sound very appealing. I just hope they cast appropriately (especially for my beloved Side Show). I am definitely looking forward to a full production of Ragtime and hope they spare no punches. The Victoria Clark cabaret is also very good news for me.
