Kiss of the Spider Woman was the best show i have ever seen in my life!!! what r u talking about??? i loved Cabaret, Chicago and the movie New York, New York...i think they r amazing!(or should i say "were"?) I would listen to the soundtrack of "Kiss..." again....Vanessa Williams singing Kander and Ebb was a delight.

I personally hated Kiss of the Spiderwoman, but out of respect for the great Chita Rivera I named Steel Pier insead.

This thread is silly, no two people are ever the same, so while i love THE KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN, Not a big fan of STEEL PIER, But after saying that EVERYBODY'S GIRL from that show is one of the great musical comedy songs ever written..

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Kiss of the Spiderwoman is a very divisive show, frequently you either love it and connect or you hate it and can't understand its appeal. I personally love it!
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

Best - CABARET
Worst - THE ACT - barely even a "musical", it's a Liza Minnelli concert with some dialogue thrown in to justify it being presented on Broadway.
Second worst - WOMAN OF THE YEAR - makes STEEL PIER look like a masterpiece.

I cannot pick a favourite! I love all of their works tremendously. They are my favourite composer/lyricist team. However, I can say that I really don't care for THE HAPPY TIME or STEEL PIER.
PS: How can you not love THE RINK, KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN or WOMAN OF THE YEAR? (running off to cry and bite my pillow)

BEST - Cabaret (too influential to even debate it)
WORST - The Act (love Liza, not a fan of this)
Agree Underrated - Zorba. suffered too many comparisons to Fiddler and faded to quickly.
Spider-Woman is an amazing and difficult show. Love it.
