Big surprise appearance, looking and sounding fantastic!  My Husband Makes Movies!  Standing ovation.

Ms Akers truly stole the show tonight —looking and sounding as great as she did nearly 40 years ago!!  Other highlights were Julia Murney as Louisa for “Be on Your Own”, Elizabeth Stanley as Carla for “Simple” , Klea Blackhurst’s “The Germans at the Spa” and a wonderful turn by Christine Ebersole as Guido’s Mother. Special shout out to Benjamin Pajak as Young Guido in “Getting Tall”!  That kid is going to be a star!  Fontana and Vanessa Williams (as Lilliane LaFleur) were both fine —but under rehearsed. All in all a terrific night.

I agree with every word of this!  And what a delight to hear that glorious score again, with the full Jonathan Tunick orchestrations!
