"La Cage" at City Center

John Adams said: "inception said: "I only am familiar with George Hearn'sTony performance where he's in a suit for the song. His vocals in that recording are amazing."Well, it was the 80s...Unfortunately, the Tonys that year had neither the faith, nor the courage to allow Hearn to perform in costume (as was allowed other actors for that telecast). Hence, the tux.In this clip, he's costumed like the mother of the bride, with "wings" from wrists to upper thighs (I believe meant to disguise his ...

The Last Ship at the Met

I really disliked this. Fist off, the sound was terrible. The changes made to the story from the Broadway version were awful. Hated that they changed son to daughter and that Freddy was such a dick. Hated the “happy ending” and that the daughter just wanted to leave and join a band rather than the son being pulled to the sea like his father was. Reminded me of the changed made to NYCC’s The Life.

Am I mistaken, or did they remove an Ann Harada scene that was in the Kennedy Center production which addresses her difficulty, and then acceptance, of her husband's sexuality?

I don’t catch the last line of the play after his fiancée says something about a fall wedding. Anyone?

JUST IN TIME Original Broadway Cast Recording to be released

Anyone have info on where to place the bonus songs provided into the way it plays in the theater? Why didn't they just place them where they go in the narrative? And didn't the mother sing a French song at one point? Why wasn't that included?

Jamie Lloyd-helmed EVITA revival to play the London Palladium in 2025

People know they’re ads and so they maybe glance up but don’t watch for extended periods. And as TheatreFan4 has mentioned, it wouldn’t work financially." I thought audio was possible - didn't Streisand project Somewhere in 1994 on her last night in NY?

Does Audra stage door? Does she sign? I have a Ragtime benefit poster that was signed by all who attended, except Audra. I'd love for her to sign it.

Mescal to bring Frecknall-helmed STREETCAR to Broadway?

pathman2 said: "I finally got through yesterday. I think the key was to NOT log into your membership before going through the queue (though there is no queue right now). They made some changes and it's still finicky (don't try to enter your Amex preferred number!). It's selling really well. Better availability later in the run. But, I bet there will be slim pickings after the Amex presale and after members who couldn't buy yesterday finally get through. FYI, there are no performances 3/1-3, t...

binau said: "Yesterday at the show Darren Criss during the Broadway cares speeches was saying thanks for coming to take a chance on a brand new musical etc. it had this uncanny feeling of mirroring the impending mortality the characters themselves face. I hope come tony time they can give this show ‘best book’ as a kind of recognition of the entire production but especially the book. I could have imagined an alternate world where this opened in April and took home best musical, book and actor...
