Kate Loprest- The new female swing in Xanadu

She's so good!!! She's been on as Euturpe all week cuz Kerry is out and Patti Murin is covering Kira. I've seen her twice and her Euturpe is SO good. She plays it a lot like Anika did, but so much cuter, and shows sensitivity in the part that I feel a muse of music would have. She's also beautiful and REALLY nice. You can tell she's thrilled to be with a show that has such devoted fans. Here's her bio:

Also, when Cheyenne asks to borrow her bike, Anika used to say "Sure, as long as you bring it back", as if it was her bike that was important. Kate says "Sure, as long as YOU bring it back", as if it only matters that Sonny comes back. HILARIOUS!

I caught her as Glinda in the Chicago production of Wicked. She was fantastic. Glad to hear she is working on Broadway again.

So I think I'm just going to suck it up, deal with the jet lag I know I will inevitably be feeling (I'm in Australia--leaving today) and go see Patti and Kate on Sunday. I'll let you know how the rush is.

Saw her in Happy Days at Paper Mill. She was very good. I must see her in Xanadu now.
