MY production of Xanadu will feature full frontal nudity and a gruesome death scene for Danny McGuire. The ending will feature the muses singing the title song while cannibalizing the corpse. Art is more than words on paper, people!

Matt, haven't you learned by now that hotel guests in NYC are among the stupidest people in the world??? I mean, they still think Mamma Mia is a great show, even when they have SEEN IT.

“I told them to go measure their past year,” she said. “They found all sorts of cool ways to do it. There’s a Facebook app that will let you view all your statuses for the past year. And it’s amazing – can you imagine how many statuses you have in a year and what that would bring up for you in terms of how your life had traveled?” OMG she basically is the reincarnation of Jonathan Larson! Do you think she'll sign my RENT cow plush?!

BROADWAY GOES TO THE DOGS

Mar 3, 2011 — 5:29:18 PM

Hey everybody, I'm not usually one for shameless self-promotion, but I am producing a benefit concert called BROADWAY GOES TO THE DOGS, March 10th at the Triad Theatre, to benefit "Friends of Animal Rescue". We have a GREAT lineup booked including: • Nellie McKay (THREEPENNY OPERA) • Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC) • Derek St. Pierre (ROCK OF AGES) • Michele Mais (ROCK OF AGES) • Stephen Wallem (“Nurse Jackie”) • Kevin Meaney (HAIRSPRAY) • Annie Golden (Hair, THE FULL MONTY) • Le...

How strange that a rock star who has never acted in anything in her life would have a few hiccups the night of her Broadway debut... the audience LOVED her and got to see a legend onstage. The cries of "We love you, Melissa" were clearly from her fans and, while they were rude and inappropriate, you cannot blame Melissa for that. Don't worry, your beloved rock star will be back in the show in a week.

Was anyone just at the SCOTTSBORO BOYS?

I was there as well. Dan Lauria, Judith Light, and Halle Berry were in the Orchestra. I don't think I've ever seen a non-closing, non-opening night curtain call last that long. The fact that this is closing just shows that Broadway has gone up **** creek. Also, 90 percent sure the guy throwing roses was John Kander.

Fran Tarkenton, Louise Mandrell, pre-facelift Bruce Jenner, Dr. Joyce Brothers, Morgan Brittany, The Morty Gringorten Puppets, Meadowlark Lemon, the tiny bones of Herve Villechaize, KISS, and Shamu with power bottom Joey Stefano. Don't ask Shamu to sign. She's a diva.

I really really hate to have to play "devil's advocate", but some things have to be said. Shows close. All shows. No show runs forever. This show overcame a lot to make it as long as it did. For people to say the producers don't care about the fans simply shows how much they know these producers. These guys are all first-time Broadway producers. I have had the pleasure of meeting and, for a short time, working with all of them. They truly do care about the fans, and to have this garbage sprea...
