I saw the u/s for Glinda in chicago, and was I blown away. It's so nice to know that there are talented people waiting in the wings to come into their own. I saw that she was a Hope u/s on Urinetown. I bet she was amazing. She is like a little Chenowith. Steph Block was unreal, and I thought much better than Idina, and shoshana. But to each his own. This show should tour for years.
I thought Steph was the best ever... Did you go to the matinee? or was Kendra sick? cuz I had the feeling she was getting sick during the show I saw...she sounded like she was getting a cold..but she still was great.
and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...
Kendra wasn't fantabulous, but she wasn't nails-against-chalkboard bad. She did seem sick though because in the beginning with No One Mourns the Wicked, it sounded like...more of a buzzing tone, rather than clear consonants. So it was more like "Let us bveee glad", rather than "be". So it sounded very....congested? I donno. I really liked her acting.
I agree 100% Aigoo...it wasn't bad..it just wasn't clear sounding..that's why I thought she might be getting a cold.
She also BOOKED it out of the theatre too..and I woke up sick the next morning. So either that's how she sounds naturally or she is sick/getting sick :)_

I saw the matinee'. I got to meet her afterwards, and I asked her if she was going on again. She said that she might go on this weeekend. It's great when performers are nice. She seemed so sweet and appreciative afterwards. -Paul Miller
I saw her this past Saturday, too. I thought she was absolutely fantastic! If I do get to go again, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing her as Glinda a 2nd time!
