Cool story in the local paper about Katie Clark. I had no idea she was from Houston.

Posted: 12/29/05 at 10:38amThanks Cruel_Sandwich. I can't wait to see what Katie brings to the role. I think her mother's advice of not forgetting where you came from is key in this business.

Muscle---I did not comment that "not forgetting where you came from" was new or novel. The best advice never is.

What a lovely story. I wish her the best.
Incidentally, I'll be interested to read interviews with her a year from now. After all, it's easy not to forget where you came from when you only came from there, like, three weeks ago.

Posted: 12/29/05 at 1:07pmNot to take anything away from Katie because this is such an incredible time in her life...but these little stories exist quite a lot in the Broadway community...perhaps not quite as high profile since this is the greatest show in a long time...but still...there are lots of great "Cinderella" stories. I am looking forward to catching her in the show. It is my favorite show in years.
