She says it's not vocally demanding compared to Bridges of Madison County.
Also: Brian d'Arcy James does a movie with Michael Keaton; Robert Fairchild on filling Gene Kelly's shoes; and Brian Stokes Mitchell on his mentor, Chita Rivera.

She's certainly not wrong, Gertrude Lawrence didn't have the greatest voice in the world, and as a result Anna is not a very big range. They're good songs that she sings (Hello Young Lovers and Shall I Tell You What I Think of You are among Rodgers & Hammerstein's best), but it's not a vocally demanding score.

And the songs, for the most part, don't really propel the plot forward. So I guess it is kind of a play with music.

I'm shocked that a human being gets paid big bucks to write such garbage!
