Kelli O'Hara will guest star on ABC's "All My Children" for three episodes beginning Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007.
ABC notes state that O'Hara will "play the role of Leslie, a lesbian who meets Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel) in the ConFusion bar. Leslie will provide comfort for Bianca, who is also a lesbian dealing with an emotionally charged situation."
Seems a waste of her talent. But, good for her nonetheless. It's work.

Well good for her! She is a very versatile performer, and I'm sure she will make a great lesbian.
:)
Yeah, Kelli!
I was about to ask if she'd be playing the transgendered character, but this works too
Does anyone else think that "recurring role" is a bit of an overstatement? Three episodes?
Apparently she doesn't think it's a waste of her talent. And how would you know? The episode hasn't even aired.
Pardon, Rath. But I've just never enjoyed soap operas.
Even when I watch purposely to see a certain performer...the way they're shot/edited just irks me. They're so over-the-top.
But I shouldn't judge before it airs. I'm sure she'll be wonderful in the part.

Jeffrey Carlson and Kelli O'Hara on the same show? Now I will DEFINITELY have to watch All My Children, even if Kelli's only going to be on for 3 episodes.
"They're so over-the-top."
As opposed to people onstage breaking into song and dance in order to express emotion?
I am so freaking excited. I love All My Children. I Love Kelli O'Hara. Lesbians are cool too.
Hooray!
I'm just glad her character's stint is currently limited, so she doesn't end up on the show for years. I'm all for actors taking work wherever they can get it and wherever they feel challenged as an artist, but I'd hate to lose such a phenomenal talent from the stage for too long.
Congrats Kelli!
Well, selfish me-I'm glad Jeffrey Carlson will be on the show, although for how long I don't know. I love watching him perform in any way he pleases. This will be a treat!
Back to the topic-Congratulations to Kelli!

If that's what you consider over-the-top, then I'm sorry.

Do we once again have to post the long list of performers who have done and continue to do soaps and theater at the same time?

Dude. That's the very definition of over the top.

Lesbians! Transgendered persons! Oh,My! Whatever will they say in the Red States? The countdown to the religious right's boycotts begins.
Dude. That's the very definition of over the top.
Not to me. I consider things that are over-the-top to be not entertaining. Sure there are some campy things I enjoy...and I can appreciate them for what they are.
But I don't consider musical theatre to beover-the-top. I consider it art and a sophisticated form of art, at that. Yes there are some over the top shows. But, I don't consider all musicals over-the-top.
AMC is reeking of desperation, so they're grasping at straws to bring viewers in. After the ****ty talent they've brought in at the expense of losing great talents, it's nice to at least see actual actors carrying story, not just talking heads.
Oh, and I should mention, Carolee Carmello and Frances Sternhagen have been on OLTL this year.
There are some Soaps that are not over the top like Passions is.
I'll be on Guiding Light (one of the over the tops what with adding a comic book character to the show)on Dec 6th and I must say being able to pay my rent with the $$ for the 15 minutes of work I did and the wonderful verteran actors I worked with, doing a soap is well worth anyone's time. Don't knock it til you try it, right?
Did anyone else see her on the show today?
