Kelli O'Hara sang "The Star Spangled Banner" and James Moye sang "God Bless America."
The Yankees won 4-2. Was a great day for a Yankee fan and theater geek.
Plus it was Derek Jeter's final opening day as a player.
James was introduced as "The star of the new Broadway musical, Bullets Over Broadway." Uh, not exactly. He did a great job, though.
And where was Kate Smith? Relegated to the basement until she sings God Bless America.

Roxy can put a damper on anything and he is a Yankee fan too.
Lighten up as the Kate Smith reference was a joke. SO many thin skinned people here
I am a NY Baseball fan. I want either one to win. The Yankees at least give their fans a team to root for. The Mets are the 99 cent store version of a baseball team. I am still trying to figure how you give an 8 year contract to David Wright and his bad back. They just get rid of 2 long term contracts(both of which turned out to be dogs) and proceed to take on another.

Roxy, I think that they dig Kate up for Old Timer's Day.
Great pic SuttonRoss.
That makes sense
