Wooo I love Kendra, she has such great comedic talent. Her "Popular" was hysterical (don't make me laugh, DON'T). She was just a complete joy to watch

She's a good performer. I don't LOVE her, but I have nothing against her.
But I will agree that her voice is unique. It's...I don't want to say "husky", but it's sort of....flowy-ish liquidy thing. It's unique, nonetheless. Just not quite sure how to describe it...

Have you two heard her sing on Assassins? If not, I recommend it.

I admit when I first heard her at the beginning of Wicked I was mad beacuse I didn't like her NWMTW, but her comedic timing was priceless as were her little leg-kicks throughout the show. The only songs I really liked her voice in were Popular and For Good, but I don't mean to make this a negative post- I think she's a great comedic actress and I have so much respect for her acting skills because althuogh I didn't like her voice on half the songs I loved her Glinda due to her acting...if that makes sense.

Given, I have only seen the Wicked tour by not-so-legal means, but I didn't care for Kendra at all. I just don't think the role suited her.

She has a lot of presence and she's nice at the stage door.

Thanks! I really liked "Something Just Broke"!
I've never seen Kendra as Glinda, we had Katie both times I went. I've only seen/heard her in clips. She has a different voice, not bad though. At first I didn't care for it, but now it's really starting to grow on me.
Hmm.....maybe I AM starting to become a Kendra fan...

I love that portion of "Popular" on the Wicked trailer. She sounds so great. Kinda...soulful. I wonder if she could sing the role of Elphaba. She has more of a soulful belty tone from what I can hear.

I really loved her Glinda. Much less annoying than Cheno, and held the heaviness of Act 2. And she sang the hell out of Maureen on tour. Can't wait to see how she develops in the role when it comes back to Toronto.

Those Assassins clips are amazing. She really has one hell of a voice. I'd like to see her in a new work on Broadway.

Kendra was never Maureen on tour. Only a cover for the role on Broadway (and she was incredibly bland and mediocre in the role for my tastes).

oh - I think I saw her in RENT, now that I look at some pictures of her. She's really pretty, but I don't remember her voice much. I saw her as Mark's mom.

I just have to say I LOVE Kendra in the role of Galinda. I've sen her three times now. I've also seen Emily Rozek on tour, and Kristin by... not so legal ways. But Kendra just totally shines. I will admit that her voice doesn't exactly always come strong during song like NOMTW, but her comedic timing is just so spot on, that you barely notice.
I just saw her again this past Saturday, and she's really grown into her role since I've seen her in Toronto. After she delivered the line "That may be your secret, but that doesn't make it true" she went, "POOF!" It was THE single most funniest thing I've seen from a Galinda actress. I just adore her!

I enjoyed Kendra during her faster songs. Also, her comedic timing was brilliant. However, she sounded a bit shrill on her high notes, especially in NMTW, which took away a lot of my liking for her Galinda.
Otherwise, I think she did a great job!

I just saw her on the LA tour run and I was pleasantly surprised. She wasn't my favorite Glinda but I loved her little leg kicks and her little antics and movements during Popular were hysterical. She is an amazing comedic actress and I think she handled the role of Glinda very well. Voice wise, again not my favorite but certainly not complaining. Plus she was extremely nice at the stagedoor.

She looks adorable in her Glinda garb, but that's about all she has going for her. I don't believe she or Stephanie belong in Wicked. Were they truly the best two leading ladies that were up for the part?

Why doesn't Stephanie belong in Wicked? She was the first Elphaba (in readings), even before Idina Menzel came into the picture. She is completely capable of singing and acting the role.
