After watching the season announcement from the Kennedy Center last week I was wondering what the chances are that The National Theater will have a much better season that will not disappoint? I know that Newsies is on the schedule (as previously announced) but I'm also hoping for Motown, Kinky Boots, Dirty Dancing, or Pippin. The National Theater really stepped up their game last season after sitting somewhat "dormant" for so many years so I hope they can keep it up and salvage what the Kennedy Center has failed to produce. Thoughts?

I'm quite disappointed with the line up that the Kennedy Center announced last week.

I looked at Motown's touring schedule and saw that DC wasn't listed (yet), although I think I saw some gaps in there.

The National Theater was renovated, if I'm not mistaken, and "If/Then" was the first show to appear after the upgrade. I think we can expect some top-notch touring shows from now on.

Audrey, the Phantom Phanatic, who nonetheless would rather be Jean Valjean, who knew how to make lemonade out of lemons.

I'm excited for Little Dancer and Evita (I've never seen a production of Evita before) at the Kennedy Center. And right now they hold a special place in my heart for bringing Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin there (I'm still in shock at that show and the chemistry I saw on that stage).
