Kerry is just perfect for the the Little Mermaid (opening in 2005/6)
We know, this was mentioned somewhere, but I guess it doesn't hurt to bring it back...
Yeah, it's good for us lazy people who don't feel like going through pages of threads and resurrecting a long dead one.
Anyways, yeah, I'd like to see that. She's got the voice for it, and she is a lover of Disney, so she'd probably enjoy it. I'm not a Disney person, but I'd see it if she was in it.

She WILL BE in it 98.99%! Updated On: 1/5/04 at 09:47 PM
...oh, okay. Well, that brightens my day!
oh yeah and uh
John Stamos as Sebastion
and
Harvey as Ursula
...now THAT I have GOT to see.
Emily Skinner is playing Ursula. Wouldn't Stephen DeRosa be a good Sebastion?
Aww...I'd like to see Harvey play Ursula lol...but hey, I'll take whatever they're giving me, as long as Kerry's there.
I can't wait to see it I love Disney and since I'm a big fan of Kerry's It should be a good show. For me to see at least and the Little 3 year old girl I baby sit is looking forward to it since she loves Ariel lol.
No no no you're all wrong. Let's get personality for Sebastian. TERRENCE MANN!
Eandan. Where are you getting your facts that she will be in it with THAT high of a percentage ratio? Just curious. Kerry was in the most recent workshop of the show (with Emily, among others). Given that the show is a few years off and could easily go through different creative teams, ANYTHING could happen.

i think kerri would be a great little mermaid, but how about leah delaria or mary testa as ursula.

cbrown...
Emily is PERFECT for Ursula...
Leah nor Mary could pull off the transition (from ugly sea wench to beautiful girl). Emily is gorgeous and very versatile. I can't think of anyone who's more perfect for the role. Plus, I know she really enjoyed the reading, so if she's asked to continue with it, I'm sure she will.
Mary Testa would be an interesting choice as well...buuuut, whereas she's pretty, she's not classically beautiful enough to be a believable competitor to Ariel in the looks department. She's got too much of a character look going on.

i agree with u about the looks, but i was going for a bigger(size wise)women. emily isn't big.
see it interesting you should say that about emily pulling off the switch. I would have thought 2 different people would play the parts becasue in the movie at lest the pretty girl has a differnt voice and all. I guess that was just my take on it.

Naw, I'm pretty sure they're just going to do a transition like The Witch in Into the Woods. I'm not sure, though... I'll have to ask Emily one of these day.
And um... Emily's... not a "little" woman either. In fact, Emily's ALL "woman". If they need her bigger, there's always padding. I *really* want to see her in the part... she'd tear the **** out of it.

Remember, Daisy, this is Disney. I am sure there will be more to it then the Witch in Into The Woods. Just a guess.

Um... I was comparing the transition from ugly to beautiful... nothing more. Remember... Disney or not... this is Broadway. More likely than not, they'll use the same actor. Like I said, just a guess... I don't know definitely. I can look into that, though. I am interested as to what they plan to do with Ursula. Em did say they gave her a lot more songs.

Right, of course they will use the same actress, but I meant more than UGLY-BEAUTIFUL. They will make it a lot more of a dramatic transition with special effects.

Well of course... but still... the actress has to be versatile enough to transform from ugly to gorgeous... which Emily can do with ease. (Throw some purple make up on her, then wash it off... ta-da... isn't going to take any special effects to make her beautiful.)
But of course, Disney has to have all the special effects they can get... they are the main attraction where tourists are concerned.

That is what I meant from the beginning. By the way, I was looking at your fan photos and you are really pretty.

Aw... thanks. I look a bit different in real life. My hairs quite a bit longer now and much blonder. But thank you all the same. :)

Ok kinda back on topic, when I was in guys and dolls as Nathan Detroit, my friends thought I looked lik Eric from the little mermaid, and one of my friends loves the little mermaid and just about died. She wanted me to dye my hair black to complete the picture. haha not really but they wer excited that I looked like him.
