If you're 21-35, you can also buy a cheap ticket in advance through LincTix.

Posted: 3/15/15 at 5:36pmTo anyone who hasn't yet booked their LincTix, I suggest doing it ASAP. It looks like availability is limited as the first dates I'm seeing are Wednesday and Saturday matinees in late April/ early May, save for some random previews here and there.

Posted: 3/15/15 at 5:37pmI assume you mean too old, but and I think this is correct, that your membership is good till December 31 of the year you turn 36. So anyone born in 1979 or younger.

Posted: 3/15/15 at 6:36pmI booked my LincTix only a few days ago and there seemed to be plenty of availability for a wide range of performance dates. I wouldn't worry, honestly.

Posted: 3/15/15 at 7:04pmDoes LincTix check ID? I'm 3 months away from my 21st birthday....would love to use this system though!

Posted: 3/16/15 at 9:59amPretty sure Lincoln Center does not hold tickets for rush.

Posted: 3/16/15 at 10:07amThey definitely don't hold tickets for rush, but will sell any left over ticket at the last minute to a student at rush price. At least, that's how it has always been. I'm curious if anyone has been able to get in this way. I bought linctix for the end of May, but would love to go sooner if I can get in that way.

#17King & I Rush?
Posted: 3/16/15 at 2:10pmIt is on TodayTix for Wednesday, so can't be selling out extremely well yet. If anyone wants to use my code to get $20 off, it is QSBQF. :)

Posted: 3/16/15 at 5:04pmJust_John, when do they sell left over tickets at rush price? Is it 30 minutes before curtain?

This isn't specifically about rush, but I thought this post made more sense here than in the "King and I" previews thread.
I purchased LincTix today for a performance in mid-May. When I selected the ticket, the description stated "this seat is in the first row from the stage." When I received the confirmation e-mail, however, the seat listed was J-113, which is not only not in the front row, but is on the very extreme side (the row ends at 112, so 113 is likely quite obstructed). Since the performance is so far in advance, I know there are plenty of LincTix seats left, and had I not read the description about "first row from the stage," I would have had the system suggest a different ticket. I know LincTix (justifiably) doesn't do refunds or exchanges, but has anyone had experience with this kind of issue, where the description of the seat says one thing and then the seat given clearly does not follow this description? Would it be worth it to e-mail or call Customer Service to see if they can made an exchange since I just bought it yesterday and my card hasn't even been charged yet? Thoughts?
Note: I'm not expecting premium tickets at LincTix prices, nor do I feel "entitled" to a great seat. I'd just like to know if anyone's experienced this before since there are plenty of other LincTix available for that performance that are better seats. Thanks.

Posted: 3/16/15 at 10:29pmYes, the seat descriptions are often wrong with Linctix. Always match the seat to a seating chart before purchasing through Linctix.

Posted: 3/16/15 at 10:31pmThanks for the confirmation: at least I'm not crazy! Do you think that given that they're often misleading, that my contacting Customer Service would help me at all?

i pulled up the telecharge website in a new window when i bought my linctix ticket, as if i were buying a regular ticket. sometimes seating charts aren't as up to date so to me, the pick your own seat on telecharge is the most reliable to see where you'll possibly be sitting when it comes to getting linctix options
