I am guessing that you must work for the producers of The Waverly Gallery, which I would guess is the up-to-now front-runner for the Best Revival of a Play category. I have not seen the play yet, but I am suspicious whenever a first day poster uses hyperbolic statements like 'the worst production I have ever seen on a Broadway stage in the last twenty years''. Has no credibility whatsoever to me. It may very well be just that, but to start a separate thread after 2 preview performances just seems obnoxious to me.

Oof...... poor form. Agree with the above replies. Creating a bwayworld account (today) to trash a show... with no justification, no real impressions or insights, and a jingly thread title?? Seems like the plan here backfired.

Not shilling for anything. I am just very tired of people joining and then posting either 'its the greatest' or 'its the worst' posts immediately. Have zero credibility for me. Had it been one of the posters on this board whose opinion I have come to respect, I would be thinking to myself '****, I decided to splurge on this -- if I am going to sit through 3 1/2 hours of Shakespeare, I want a really good seat -- and go cheap on TKAM', which I just assumed I'd like from any seat in the Shubert (except rear mezzanine).

Note: as it is, I must admit that I am a little worried based on the posts so far on the real KL thread, but the money is sunk and I only bought the tickets to see Glenda Jackson again. To quote Something Rotten, 'I (mostly) hate Shakespeare'.

Nice theory --- but Rudin is the producer of both Lear and Waverly Gallery.
