Would anyone remember which production she starred in and who else was in the cast?
She was in the 1997/98 revival national tour. It was the same staging as the Lou Diamond Phillips Broadway revival. Found this on google... http://www.geocities.com/robin_liverpool/

she didn't seem to last very long in it if I recall..was replaced by Marie Osmond.

I saw her in the tour and she almost single-handedly ruined the show. No singing voice to speak of, and was rather dull otherwise.

I will agree that her voice was not strong to say the least, but I will disagree about her being dull. I found her to be very charming - and I did enjoy her performance (in a show I've never truly enjoyed in the first place).
Sidenote: She greeted people for a *very* long time after the show - speaking to anyone that wanted to meet her. I was also really happy to hear her speak so fondly of her early Disney movie days, and she was happy to answer any questions or talk about that time in her life. Classy was the best word I can use to describe her.
I loved her in this. Mary Rodgers has actually gone on record as saying that Hayley Mills was her favorite Anna, and she saw Gertrude Lawrence.
Mills was not a great singer, but remember that neither was Gertrude Lawrence.
By the way, teen pop singer Jesse McCartney was the boy in this tour.

I saw this in Houston. And I rather liked Mills in the role.
That's funny about Jesse McCartney, me2! I'll have to go back and look at the Playbill to see that.
I saw it in Seattle, and I didn't know if it was Hayley Mills or just the whole show that bored me to tears.
I saw the show when it came to my area and she was ok. It's my favorite musical so I couldn't help but like it but she wasn't particularly outstanding.
This production originated in Australia (with Hayley Mills) in 1992(?) and toured Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. This production was recast for Broadway and the tour where Hayley Mills reprised her role as Anna. The same staging was used at the London Palladium production that starred Elaine Paige.
That woman ruined what was a fine production, saw her in Melbourne Australia. First time ever seeing the King and I on stage, she was moments away from a train wreck..Even the beautiful "Shall We Dance" was ruined.
Good God I HATED HER, someone please tell me she has never been on or near a stage since.
If only she might have had some sort of singing voice, but none to be found.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!
Her singing voice was passable. It was her windmill arm movements that concerned me.
