My question is, why do people always say stuff like that in these situations? Nothing against you Jeff, but it makes absolutely no sense. When you have a fight with your Mother or roll your eyes at something a sibling says, did anyone ever tell the two of you to "get a room"? It makes no sense.

I think it is just a classic trope where two people who seem to dislike each other secretly love each other, etc. Look at every romantic comedy ever made from Hepburn/Grant through Hanks/Ryan...
Harder to make that work given your examples of sexual tension between immediate family members, heh.

Not to interrupt, but to get back to the original question, yes I have a friend coming from out of town tomorrow and I will try then. I am hoping that after the free seats are given out, they will have some others at regular lottery prices if they have extras.

All the time. That's how she became a grandmother.

Posted: 3/19/14 at 3:58pmI went this afternoon. After the free seats they were offering were claimed, they wept pulling names for people to buy $37 seats.

Posted: 3/20/14 at 8:50amThanks Jordan. Anyone try last night? I'm thinking of trying it tonight but not worth it if there is a huge crowd.

Was there tonight, didn't win (boohoo)... I've won a few times before..must be fair to others. I was standing next to a couple from Iceland who won and it was their last day in NY so they were extremely excited. So if they won "MY" tickets, I am ok with with it.
It was packed..biggest crowd I had seen there since the Christmas holidays. 20 freebies and 20 additional regular lottery tickets given out. I think the boxes went as usual lottery tickets and the freebies were the better seats.

Posted: 3/20/14 at 11:47pmAfter trying Tues. night & Wed. night - the 3rd time was the charm for me because I was FINALLY able to see KB's 2nite/Thur. The 2 free tkts were the next to the last 2 seats in the back of the right box. Has anyone ever sat there before? I had a little vertigo when sitting on the edge because the retaining wall is so low! (It would be very easy for someone to fall from there.) The show is still packing them in a yr after opening & it seems to really connect with the youngish audience. I think the story-telling, the staging & the orchestrations really make-up for some of the scores weaknesses. (For me, the emotional payoffs come from places other than the music & the singing which makes me a little sad.) Don't want to be looking a gift horse in the mouth though. Grateful for the opportunity & glad to see Bway Musical success here. I'm curious to know how many of those $1,500 pair of boots they sell?
