Whole watching a bootleg recording of Kinky Boots on youtube, I was quite taken by "Bad Girl" song after "Land of Lola". Was this song cut before the show officially opened? I loved the song and was upset that it wasn't on the soundtrack, but it makes sense if they replaced it before opening.

It was cut during Broadway previews, so it was cut before the show opened. I saw the show during previews with the song in it, and it was the only number that I felt needed to go.

"Anybody that goes to the theater, I think we’re all misfits, so we ended up on stage or in the audience.” --- Patti LuPone.

Yes cut early on during NY previews. It was a fun number but I didn't think it really fit in with the show either.

There were a number of songs that were changed/cut early on before they even got to NY. Nicola had her own song at some point and the first of Charlie's solos was replaced by the current one. In Chicago, where they previewed, Charlie was a little less sympathetic as a character and that was changed as well.

Space permitting, CD'S should have more deleted songs on them.
