La Cage originally ran for just over four years, with 1761 performances and won six tonys, including best musical.
Im guessing Kinky Boots can run that long or possibly longer, its a pretty similar demographic but likely a broader audience for Kinky Boots with more progressive attitudes about alternative lifestyles over the last 30 years.

Most listenable cast recording since Book of Mormon. I never listen to Mathilda, except for Naughty and When I Grow Up....
comparing it's attendance or length of run to Mathilda is kind of fun, since they were one of the closest competitions for Tonys. I saw both OBCs and thought Kinky Boots was a better and more memorable show on every level, from book to score to acting to dancing. The kids were cute, and bertie carvall was worth the price of admission alone, but given the trainwreck reviews the tour cast is getting I will probably pass when it hits sf next month and I saw the Kinky Boots tour 3 times

I originally predicted a five year run for this show... so I'd say it has at least 2 years left...
