Forgive me if there's a thread about this, couldn't find it. What's the view like from the upper mezz like? I saw the show Sat. from the orchestra, suggested a friend see it, trying to help with seating question as they're on a budget and won't be in town early enough to rush, upper mezz I'm thinking is their best bet, just curious as to the view. Anyone see the show from up there?
I have to tell you that I saw it once all the way in the back of the mezzanine, all the way to the left, 4 rows from the back. I thought it was going to be horrible, but it turned out to be fine! And it was fun to watch everyone in the theatre having so much fun also. If that's the best he can get, go for it!
Thanks for the help! did you feel you weren't a part of the audience ie. your comment you watched everyone have fun? I hope you did too! I love this show!
I have been there more than once..and I think the mezz. is comparable or even better than the orchestra.
Honestly, you can't really fully appreciate the "Everybody say Yeah" Dance from the orchestra seats. It brings a little extra to the dance to actually see the conveyer belt move.
Plus it's a smallish theater. Front Mezz hangs over row L or M in the orchestra so you are really pretty on top of the stage. I had way better seats than my friends who were in the back of the orchestra.
I sat in Row B of the mezzanine last Thursday night. Perfect seats to take the whole stage in with so much going on during the big numbers. The audience was ecstatic - one would have thought it was a stadium concert. The entire cast could not have been more gracious at the stage door and Cyndi signed for us too.
